Samsung Sleep Rave
Research revealed that nearly half of Dutch Millennials and Gen Z struggle with sleep due to late-night events, while 82% recognize its impact on daily performance. To address this, Samsung introduced the Sleep Rave at ADE, a groundbreaking experiment that redefined wearable tech by focusing on sleep. On October 16, 2023, Samsung Nederland and DJ duo Mr. Belt & Wezol transformed Hotel Arena into a giant bedroom, where 30 participants experienced an 8-hour sleep-inducing DJ set while wearing Samsung Galaxy Watch6 devices to monitor sleep data. Sleep expert Dr. Els van der Helm analyzed this data, leading to the creation of a sleep track that effectively combined electronic music with insect sounds, released at the start of wintertime. The campaign generated 4.9 million views on the aftermovie, 63,856 impressions, 789 engagements, and a 1.2% engagement rate, making it a brilliant case of integrating science, music, and wearable technology to improve sleep quality.
